The short version

This is a personal site. I don't sell data, run ads, or share anything with advertising networks. I collect anonymous analytics to see which pages people actually read. There is no account system and no newsletter, so there's nothing for you to sign up for and nothing of yours for me to store.

What gets collected

Two analytics services run on this site. Both are configured for aggregate measurement rather than identifying individuals:

  • PostHog — records page views, page exits, and page load performance. It is set to identified_only, meaning no persistent profile is built for you unless you identify yourself, which nothing on this site asks you to do. Requests are proxied through this domain at /ingest, so your browser never contacts PostHog directly.
  • Vercel Analytics — counts page views and measures load speed. It is cookieless and does not track visitors across sites.

Between them this amounts to which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the request came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and how quickly the page loaded. Not your name, your email, or your precise location.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for a limited period. That happens at the infrastructure level for security and debugging, and applies to essentially every website you visit.

Embedded content

Some pages embed players from Bandcamp and Mixcloud, and media files are served from Supabase storage. When one of those loads, the provider can see the request and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. I have no control over and no access to what they collect.

Opting out

Enabling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or using any standard content blocker, will stop the analytics scripts from loading. Nothing on this site breaks if you do — the content is static and works fine without them.

Email

If you email me, I keep the message so I can reply to it. It doesn't go on a mailing list, because there isn't one.
